Chemical Injection Skids with Heat and Electric Tracing

Areas where the atmospheric temperature is below freezing point, the injection system has to be provided with a heating system to prevent the chemical from freezing.

This can be achieved by electric and heat tracing of the complete system. Every pipe or vessel is subject to heat loss when its temperature is greater than ambient temperature. Trace heating is used to replace the heat that is lost to atmosphere. Trace heating takes the form of an electrical heating element run in physical contact along the length of a pipe. The pipe must then be covered with thermal insulation to retain heat losses from the pipe. Heat generated by the element then maintains the temperature of the pipe. An ambient temperature sensor can be used to energize the heating cable before the ambient temperature drops below freezing point.

Petronash has full in-house capability in the Engineering, design, fabrication and installation of these types of skids. Petronash has pioneered this technology and has been supplying these skids for the past 8 years.
